Our lesson program provides a structured, supportive environment where riders can build strong horsemanship skills and progress with confidence.
We offer group lessons for beginner to intermediate levels (max 4 participants) and private or semi-private lessons for Intermediate to advanced levels, allowing for more individualized coaching and focused skill development.
We follow a proprietary curriculum which enables instructors to track each rider’s development and provide meaningful feedback as students advance. This clear pathway helps align expectations for both riders and parents. Students celebrate important milestones as they graduate from one level to the next, recognizing their progress and achievements along the way.
Our instructional team includes Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) certified instructors as well as apprentice instructors who are supported by a certified instructor to maintain a high standard of safety and instruction.

Levels 1–3 introduce riders to the fundamentals of horsemanship, safety, and basic riding skills. Students begin by learning how to safely interact with horses on the ground, including understanding horse behavior and body language, grooming, haltering, tying, and leading. They are also introduced to essential barn rules and basic horse anatomy. As the program progresses, students practice mounting and dismounting safely and learn important emergency procedures.
Once mounted, riders develop balance and confidence at the walk and trot while learning proper riding position, rein handling, and basic steering. Lessons gradually introduce skills such as stopping and starting, riding simple patterns, navigating cones and ground poles while maintaining control of the horse. By the end of Level 3, students can independently ride basic patterns at the walk and trot with improved balance, steering, and confidence in the saddle. 🐎

Levels 4–7 expand riders’ skills as they progress from confident beginners to more capable and independent riders. Students are introduced to the lope and learn to move with the horse through transitions, and basic steering at each gate. Levels 4–7 expand riders’ skills as they progress from confident beginners to more capable and independent riders. Students are introduced to the lope and learn to move with the horse through transitions, and basic steering at each gate. As their strength and balance improve, riders work on longer gate sets, riding without stirrups, navigating pole courses and patterns and introduction to common gymkhana courses (Barrels, Poles, Keyhole, Egg stomp).
These levels also deepen riders’ understanding of horse care and riding fundamentals, including grooming independently, basic saddle fit, and the use of rein and leg aids. Riders practice more precise figures and patterns while learning concepts such as diagonals and arena etiquette. By the end of these levels, riders demonstrate improved balance, independence, and a stronger understanding of both riding technique and horse care. 🐎

Levels 8–10 focus on developing riders into confident, thoughtful, and independent horsemen with increased control, precision, and responsibility both in and out of the saddle and in and out of the arena. Levels 8–10 focus on developing riders into confident, thoughtful, and independent horsemen with increased control, precision, and responsibility both in and out of the saddle and in and out of the arena. Riders refine their ability to independently warm up their horses, memorize and execute patterns, and ride accurately through walk, trot, and lope transitions while maintaining proper rein length, balance, and arena/trail awareness.
During these advanced levels, riders further develop technical riding skills including correct leads, simple and flying lead changes, bending and counter-bending exercises, rollbacks and lateral flexion to improve responsiveness and body control in the horse. Students also prepare for western riding applications such as speed events and cattle work.
Horsemanship knowledge is expanded through lessons on horse health indicators, tack care, feeding basics, and rider responsibility. 🐎
